What's the name of this cartoon/tale?

There was this cartoon I watched on tape a lot when I was little, but
I can't remember the name of it.

I remember there was a little girl who had many brothers (7 or
12...something like that) and she was beautiful. Their father married
this creepy, wicked lady who I guess was actually a witch. For some
reason unknown to me she set out to get rid of the kids. So when
everyone was asleep she created these poisoned toads and set them on
the girl while she was sleeping to turn her hideous. She then
transformed all her brothers to geese (or some type of bird) and
chased them out. I think then the girl ran away.

There was also a point where she found her geese brothers and told
them it was her, but they didn't believe her because she was hideous
so she jumped off a cliff into this magical lake that turned her back
to normal.

I can't remember too much else...but I think there was some situation
where the girl was suppose to be silent for some plan, but cut herself
on a thorn and said "ouch." I recall people trying to burn her as well
because they thought she was a witch?
